I’ve long been a fan of the infamous Mr. Cartoon. Nike Sportswear chose Mister Cartoon as the American artist for the True Colors Artist Collaboration. In this video Cartoon breaks down the creative process behind the logos and mascot he created for this collection. Peep the homies can control, its its incredible!!

I had to drop this song just because its so damn sexy!! Its one of the most seductive and romantic songs of 90’s that some how never seems to get old. Plus Amel Larrieux is one of the most beautiful R&B singers of all time so a video staring her just has to be good to watch. Enjoy.

Stop what you’re doing right now – seriously, just stop – because you really need to see this video: It’s the entire Star Wars trilogy, from start to finish, told in two minutes – in LEGO.
You’ve no doubt heard of LEGO Star Wars and it’s apparently pretty cool, but I bet it’s not this cool. Because this is the actualStar Wars trilogy rendered in LEGO and compressed into a high-speed two minute video that’ll blow you away not just with its obvious awesomeness, but with the surprising amount of detail that’s been crammed into it. This is quite possibly the finest Star Wars synopsis I’ve ever run into.

Here’s another reason why Japan is far superior than the rest of the world. To celebrate Manhattan Records’ 30th anniversary, they brought together legendary producers Pete Rock & DJ Premier for a once-in-a-lifetime DJ battle. I’m not expecting Roc Raida-level cutting and scratching but, as the video suggests, this will be an all-out party rocking event for the ages.
I’m doing my best to find someone to sponsor me to get over to Tokyo on May 2nd for this monumental jam. Any takers?

Digital meets Analog. Contexture Design is Nathan Lee and Trevor Coghill. The design duo’s work emphasizes simple, elegant and sustainable design, and is often inspired by reclaimed materials with historical, cultural or environmental significance. Their Limited edition 45 Nano Cases are made from reclaimed cassette tapes, gutted, routered and rebuilt to fit your iPod nano. Dope!!

Who doesn’t remember the Rubik’s Cube? As a child growing up in the 80’s Rubik’s Cubes were one of the most popular and frustrating toys around. From play grounds to classrooms they could be found everywhere. They not only challenged the minds of children but also challenged the mental steel of adults as well. In a classic Rubik’s Cube, each of the Six faces is covered by 9 stickers, among six solid colors (white, red, blue, orange, green, and yellow). A pivot mechanism enables each face to turn independently, thus mixing up the colors. For the puzzle to be solved, each face must be a solid color. Sounds simple enough, right? Ha! Forget about it! Solving a Rubik’s Cube at the time was practically a sign of genius and still is. I have to admit, in my many attempts to solve a Rubick’s Cube I’ve never succeeded. I guess thats why so many of these toys were found on the shelves, in the drawers and at the bottom of so many kids toy chest around America unsolved. My personal expereance with the cube is displayed in the following diagram.

Leave a comment and let me know if you’ve ever solved a Rubik’s Cube.

To celebrate its 75th anniversary, Monopoly is changing its look. A lot. To a circle. I can only assume this represents the endless cycle of wealth accumulation and the ultimate futility of seeking fulfillment from money alone. That, or it looks really really cool. Either way!
Dubbed “Monopoly: Revolution,” the revamped game speaks to a generation coming of age during times of economic crisis. Passing go? You now collect $2 million. And paper money? Pish posh. Everyone gets a debit card! (That’s already part of the electronic banking version.) A crash in the real estate market? Just kidding, that’s not part of it. The play is otherwise the same, though Community Chest and Chance now include sound effects and audioclips from popular songs. I’m concerned that the introduction of debit cards means no more cheating, which is the one perk of having to be the banker (which is otherwise totally thankless), and no more fudging the rules where you get a pile of money if you land on free parking.
My Monopoly of choice was and will always be Star Wars Monopoly. Still: The round board is both intriguing and surprisingly lovely. Will you be buying the Boardwalk?

This is one of the reasons why 20X is already awesome!! Star Wars and Adidas Originals have officially joined forces in Adidas most colossal collaboration to date, bringing us a dope collection of sneakers and apparel inspired by the characters and crafts we’ve followed for a lifetime. This commercial is SO FRESHH!! They set it off to the beat of a new and improved remix of the Imperial March, as Vader and the Stormtroopers land on our street corner greeted by Snoop Dogg, David Beckham, DJ Neil Armstrong and Daft Punk representing their originality. No matter which side of the Force youre on, believe the hype, this year is going to be massive.
