Im constantly amazed at the technology being released in 20X but this is innovative little car is designed for 2028. Mexican Born Sergio Luna, has designed a personal vehicle for inter-city commutation simply called ONE. The ONE has only two wheels and is designed as a single seater. The ONE is portable, has front windshield as a door and joystick for a wheel. Moreover, the windshield of the car alters, from crystal to matte, to provide better vision during rain, fog or night drives.  This car provides a smart transportation to overcome the energy, parking, pollution and traffic problems of the future metropolis. The future is here, at least almost.  I wonder, does the space suit the guy is wearing in the picture above comes with it??

NEW MUSIC FROM SADE: SKIN

Posted by English | Posted on 30-01-2010

Feburary 8th can’t come soon enough for us Sade fans as it marks the release of the groups first album in ten years, Soldier of Love. The response to the album’s first single “Soldier of Love” has been nothing short of massive but it hasn’t been enough to carry folks over til its release date. “Skin” is the latest track to be leaked off the album. The beautifully composed piece brings back memories of Sweetback and Sade of old   A perfect example of how simplicity has its own beauty, and its pretty amazing how a band whose discography has spanned three decades can outshine the lack luster pieces of work by more contemporary artist. Real music is officially making a comeback people.

THE XX: ISLANDS

Posted by English | Posted on 29-01-2010

thexx“I don’t have to leave anymore

What I have is right here

Spend my nights and days before
Searching the world for what’s right here

Underneath and unexplored
Islands and cities I have looked
Here I saw
Something I couldn’t over look

I am yours now
So now I don’t ever have to leave
I’ve been found out
So now I’ll never explore….”

If you’ve been following my blog its no secret that I’m a huge fan of The Xx. The buzz is building on this young group of 20-year-olds who traffic a minimal form of pop that’s unusually mature for their tender age. As a gateway into the mysterious and wonderful world of The Xx, ‘Islands’ is a great introduction to what the band is all about.

Amazing Viral Video: The T-Mobile Dance

Posted by English | Posted on 29-01-2010

New Media Marketers take note: Recently Saatchi&Saatchi London came up with the new Ad concept for T-Mobile entitled Life’s for sharing. Utilizing traditional media, mobile media, a YouTube channel, user generated content and live performance marketing, they have created a truly innovative contemporary media mix.

On Jan 15th 2009, 350 dancers simultaneously performed routines as unsuspecting commuters passed through the Liverpool Street Station concourse. The Ad was produced using hidden TV cameras within the station, which captured the spontaneous reactions of commuters as they watched the dance troupe perform. The three-minute guerrilla-style ad, premiered during an entire ad break in ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ less than 48 hours after filming began.

Living With Robots…

Posted by English | Posted on 28-01-2010

During the past few days at Sundance, Honda released a series of short documentary films entitled DREAM THE IMPOSSIBLE. The  series was designed to celebrate “those who have the courage to forge dreams into a better future.” Living With Robots explores what’s behind our collective obsession with robots. Personally i’ve always been fascinated by robots. Robots are cool, but terminators are cooler. If I had choice between developing a robot and or a terminator, I would pick the terminator.

Posted by English | Posted on 27-01-2010

This is a viral video campaign gone right. Filmed over the period of a few months in and around Edinburgh by Dave Sowerby, this video of Inspired Bicycles team rider Danny MacAskill and features probably the best collection of street/street trials riding ever seen. There’s some huge riding, but also some of the most technically difficult and imaginative lines you will ever see. Without a doubt, this video pushes the envelope of what is perceived as possible on a trials bike and has become a monster marketing tool for Inspired Bicycles accumulating over 14 million views and tons of coversations in the street/street trial riding community.
