For a few months now La Roux has had quite an effect on pop music and has brought her somewhat unique sound onto the mainstream. With a quirky look and her own take on electro, she has definitely shifted the pop spot light directly on herself. Her movement continues with her latest single Bulletproof. Everything about ‘Bulletproof’ is brilliant including the video. The kaleidoscopic video, which manages to look eighties and futuristic at the same time, is brilliant! It reminds me of what videos were like when MTV first came out.

If it has to do with Jay with Jay Electronica then it has to do with TheyCallMeEnglish. Check out this dope freestyle he drops for the B-roll cams while filming his latest video in Nepal. Listen to it once then listen to it twice. And after you listen to it a third time try to tell me that he’s not one of the best rappers out right now.

Quick quiz: what’s the only thing better than being a millionaire? Yep, you guessed it, being a Billionaire. Although I don’t know what a billion will get you that several million won’t. Your own tropical island maybe? Anyway, this is my new summer anthem. Its the first single from Travie’s upcoming solo album, Lazarus, coming out in early June.

I had to drop this song just because its so damn sexy!! Its one of the most seductive and romantic songs of 90’s that some how never seems to get old. Plus Amel Larrieux is one of the most beautiful R&B singers of all time so a video staring her just has to be good to watch. Enjoy.

Without a doubt Los Angeles is one of the honored homes of Hip Hop. But its been a minute since LA has had a dope Hip Hop group to proudly call there own. Insert U-N-I. Hands downd my favorite new Hip Hop group. A few weeks ago I got to hang out with the group during their performance at The Avalon Theatre in Los Angeles. Check out this quick performance video that I produced with Nick Bretton from Truth Studios.

With “Acapella,” the first single from Kelis‘ upcoming Flesh Tone album, already topping the Billboard dance chart, the singer now has a video to accompany her successful collaboration with David Guetta. And like Kelis, the video is absolutely beautiful. In the video Kelis stars as the last woman standing on earth who adopts the tribal way of life. Unlike most pop videos which are fashion and danced based this video is conceptual and artistic. From the set and lighting to the costume design and make up the video is hypnotizing. But dont’t let the pop aesthetic fool you. Even though the track has an energetic, upbeat feel, lyrically Kelis is working through some real emotional pain, sounding much more mature than she did in her chart topper Milkshake, from way back in 2003. Her lost love and emotional pain is perfectly described in a metaphor, as she sings, “Before you my whole life was acapella, now a symphony is the only song to sing.” This track is officially ENGLISH Certified. Good job Kelis.

Sometimes it just takes a kind word, touch or smile to change someone’s attitude, and sometimes their life. Nick Vujicic and his attitude serve as a great examples of the celebration of life over limitations.
Ironic, isn’t it? Anyone could say the words he says, but the fact that it comes from a guy with no arms or legs makes it so much more heavier. The truth here is that every human being is precious for his or her existence on this very planet of ours. Each one of us is an enrichment to the sum of mankind. And this is an encouraging thought. Please share this video with others.

If you’ve followed my blog for a while then you know I like to feature creative branded content. Its not a new marketing technique but it is one that is really hard to create successfully. Thats why when I came across this I felt compelled to to share it with you and my fellow marketers. Recently Toyota teamed with comedy director Jody Hill to create a series of Web videos featuring two self-absorbed parents and the only vehicle that matches their awesomeness, the all new Sienna – the first minivan made with adults’ minds in mind. Watch as the Sienna Family drops their hot new single, Swagger Wagon. Meet the Sienna Family Here.
